Wedding Music Guide

Fantastic With Fizz have extensive experience in providing live wedding music, including violinist, guitar and saxophone to enhance every stage of your special day.

To help you plan the musical accompaniment to your wedding, this guide will take you through the various different parts of the day and may give you some ideas as to what music you would like as a background to your special event.

Music for the Wedding Ceremony

GENERAL ARRIVAL MUSIC

From the very start of proceedings, you’ll be in safe hands. Fantastic With Fizz wedding musicians will be in place and ready to set the mood for your special day. Nothing captures emotion like live music and you can rest assured that Fantastic With Fizz will tug at the heartstrings with all the feels. We start playing for around 15-20 minutes before your ceremony starts, whilst your guests are arriving. As a guide, each song is around 3 minutes long, so you’d be looking at 5-7 songs. If you have a preference, we are happy to accommodate or alternatively we can pick something suitable. Popular classics or traditional wedding music are the most popular choices, especially if we are playing for your Drinks Reception too as we then add to the momentum and pick up the pace with some more contemporary pieces. Ultimately, the choice is yours, pick anything at all and if we don’t already have it, we will arrange it for you at no extra charge.

BRIDAL PARTY ENTRANCE MUSIC

This is a very special and personal part of your day and again, can be traditional or contemporary. Popular choices include Christina Perri’s 1000 years, Can’t Help Falling In Love With You, Here Comes the Bride and Pachelbel’s Canon but we have even played the Star Wars Theme!

We are experienced professional musicians so you don’t need to worry about the length of the song or the timing as we will be watching to bring the music to a stop when you reach your partner.

SIGNING OF THE REGISTER

The registration formalities usually take around 5-10 minutes so 2/3 songs fit perfectly here. We find people prefer familiar music so something well-known and relaxing fits the bill. We have an extensive repertoire and are happy to suggest something suitable or if you have your heart set on something specific then just let us know and we will do a complimentary arrangement for you.

Music for the Drinks Reception

For your drinks reception we offer an extensive repertoire of popular music/songs. There’s nothing like live music to bring colour to a celebration and to make the atmosphere come alive. Our melodies create a delightful accompaniment, enhancing the ambience of the occasion. We do not aim to take centre stage but to provide an engaging soundtrack whilst your guests relax and chat. We have a variety of styles from classical to country from Mozart to Motown, so everyone’s tastes are covered! As a guide, the Drinks Reception takes around 90 minutes but we will not be clock watching and will play until it finishes. Practically speaking, as a duo we require less space than, say, a string quartet. We do not need access to electricity as we are self-contained (unless it is a large gathering of 150+ where we would bring our PA) hence there’s no need for electrical safety paperwork. This means we can play anywhere, inside or outside (or semi-outside eg.in a marquee) – we just ask for cover if it’s raining so our instruments don’t get wet. We also have full public liability insurance which will likely be requested by your venue.

Music for the Wedding Breakfast

Add a touch of glitz and glamour to your Wedding Breakfast with Fantastic With Fizz Wedding Musicians. We are on hand to help your meal go with a swing with live music that enhances the mood of the occasion. We play until dessert is served, giving us time to pack away before the speeches start. We have a large repertoire of popular music to suit all tastes and also offer the popular “jukebox” option. A list of 10 songs is placed on each table and requests can be given to us throughout the meal so everyone feels included.

Music for the Evening

We take a break between the meal and first dance. Many couples kindly offer to provide refreshment which is always appreciated or we can bring our own. During our break we provide a soundtrack so there’s no dip in the atmosphere. For the First Dance, many people have their heart set on a particular song that has a special meaning to them. Rest assured, we can play anything your heart desires! Alternatively, you can choose from our vast repertoire list here. There’s something incredibly heart warming and special about a First Dance with live music – it’s classy, romantic and is often the couple’s favourite part of the day.
